I am a Brit who has been living in beautiful Vancouver for the past 10 years, since moving here I have married a wonderful man and had two lovely children and managed to control a very painful condition called endometriosis through diet.
Endometriosis is a disease that affects around 1 in 10 women and it takes on average 8 years to diagnose. It is the number 1 reason for infertility in women and at the moment there is no known medical cure. I suffered for years with such severe pain that I would often pass out, I also had chronic fatigue, headaches and a host of other symptoms. I was told my only options for managing it were prescription pain killers, birth control pills and surgery. The thought of pumping my body with drugs and hormones was disheartening to say the least! I had the surgery which helped but unfortunately the endo returned and I soon realized I had to find another way.
My Dad came across an article for treating endo by cutting out Dairy and Gluten, I decided to give it ago and it changed my life! I was able to pretty much eliminate the pain which in turn stopped the fainting, I no longer have mood swings and headaches, I am 20lbs lighter (even after 2 kids) and I have more energy than ever.
It really works and I want to share what I’ve found with anyone else in my position. What we put in and on our bodies has a huge impact on our lives. Being dairy and gluten free can help with so many issues, ADHD, Celiac Disease, Intolerances, PMS, eczema and the list keeps growing.
